I’m upgrading some computer stuff for my office, and I recently added a Western Digital one terabyte external hard drive.

I want the extra space for some video instruction projects I’m doing on my second computer.

When my WD-drive didn’t work during its installation, a tech support guy named “Roy” appeared to offer help.

I’m not a wizard in navigating Microsoft. His help was appreciated until “Roy” told me my computer had issues.

Roy and I were doing tech support via chat. It was here he posted: “There is nothing wrong with the WD and computer, both the devices are working fine but we have some issues on the internal networking like coding and programming issues. it is the platform where the external devices gets connected and communicates with the computer, thats where some of the services are in disable mode which is blocking the communication and not allowing us to establish the connection.okay?”

To which I responded about the computer driver needed to fix the problem.

Roy didn’t answer this. He responded with for a one-time service fee. “The one time service charge for the permanent solution will be $99.99 with 1 month (free service) for multiple devices, which is not an
